A vibrant new era of desert hospitality is underway with the grand opening of Casa Palma Hotel & Bungalows (Casa Palma), a boutique resort located in the stylish mid-century modern oasis of Palm Springs. Casa Palma is the passion project of San Clemente-based entrepreneurs and designers, Ryan and Rochelle Jaleh, who reimagined the storied Palm Springs hideaway with deep Hollywood ties. Situated on the original site of the members-only, playground developed in the 1940s by screen legend Errol Flynn, the location has long been a symbol of California escapism. Inspired by childhood visits to the area and a dream trip to Capri, Italy, the Jalehs breathed new life into the property, blending the beauty and sophistication of a luxury hotel with the activation and fun of a social club.
The Design
Casa Palma celebrates the glamour of Palm Springs with a clean, minimalist modern design aesthetic that spans 22 guestrooms and 11 suites, all set among citrus groves, manicured lawns, and sweeping mountain views. The original mid-century façade remains intact, however revitalized with a striking ultra-white exterior draped in vibrant bougainvillea, punctuated with turquoise and gold accents, and Greco-Mediterranean tile stairs offering guests a breathtaking arrival experience.
Inside, guestrooms and suites feature an airy, nature-inspired palette of seafoam green and slate blue details layered with white linens, natural woods, woven textures, and plush seating. Bathrooms are outfitted with walk-in tiled showers, marbled quartz vanities, and Malin + Goetz bath amenities. Hand selected art pays tribute to the property’s original lion head water features, which the Jalehs carefully preserved to honor the property’s history.

Opening late August, Chiquita is Casa Palma’s signature restaurant, offering clean, Mediterranean-inspired cuisine served for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The space includes bar and dining room seating, and open-air dining with views of the San Jacinto Mountains. A true extension of the Jalehs’ own hospitality philosophy honed in the home, Chiquita’s concept is a love letter to family, fresh ingredients, and elevated simplicity.
